SIR - On the very day that the United Nations reported on what we must do to keep climate change in check you print two disturbing facts (T&A, May 4).
The new owners of the airport intend to double passenger numbers in the next eight years, which must mean more flights, and compounding the problem poor Philip Bird (T&A Letters, May 4) is unable to get the labels off his tins and so can't be bothered to recycle them.
This level of self-interest suggests that the future for young Bradford-ians will be very uncertain.
