try and dig us out of the hole Blair has left. Even before he's started what an uphill struggle and slippery slope he's been left to climb.
I can't believe TB is so deluded to think his ten years as leader have been a success.
If it was a fresh start, maybe GB would have a fair chance at cracking the whip (let's hope he considers getting the troops out of Iraq sooner rather than later).
However, Blair has left this country in a pretty poor state but I don't expect he's that bothered, with all the lucrative book deals and international duties that will keep the wolves from his door for some time.
Let's hope Brown proves himself to be bothered about the citizens of this country and not someone who likes listening to the sound of his own voice like the present PM.
M Byrne, Clover Street, Little Horton, Bradford Unable to vote SIR - I wonder how many people who were entitled to a postal vote got their voting papers in time to vote? My husband and I were informed that there was a local election and we would be receiving our postal vote forms in due course.
We never received the forms and it occurs to me how many other postal voters are in the same position, and if that is the case are the results biased because of this?
Personally I am unhappy with the situation as if you have a postal vote you cannot go to the polls to vote which meant I and my husband never got to vote in these elections.
The only reason I asked for a postal vote in the first place is because I am disabled and unable to go to the polls.
