SIR - I read in The Sunday Times (therefore it must be correct) that Morrisons is ripe for a takeover approach.
It seems that all will depend on the reaction of the Morrison family.
Last week I spent a brief, but very enjoyable and restful, sojourn in West Wales.
On the rather tedious journey, I stopped off at Morrisons stores in Leominister and Brecon to partake of refreshment and replenishment of essential consumer goods.
In such places Bradford is represented in a very positive light and, as a native of the city, my heart was gladdened.
How very sad it would be, therefore, if Bradford was to lose this wonderful and long-established affinity.
Let us hope that Wm Morrison's Supermarkets will repel borders and long continue its very close and personal association with the City of Bradford.
