SIR - On Easter Monday my daughter, granddaughter and I visited the Bronte Parsonage Museum in Haworth.
As we wished to visit toilets before going in, we asked at the museum entrance, only to be told that they had no toilets for public use, but there were some at the opposite corner of the Museum car park.
We were horrified at the state of those public conveniences - though I would say that they had probably been cleaned that morning - the state of the facilities being long overdue for refurbishment.
The Bronte Parsonage is a magnet for visitors and tourists from all parts of the UK and abroad. Their numbers of visitors are, I believe, second only to Shakespeare's birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon.
What an awful impression people - especially those from other countries - must get from what I have described; I felt a deep shame.
