Workhouse building, anyone in favour?
SIR – I just switched to Channel 4 and I was apparently watching something called 24 Hours in the Past.
The frightening thing is that at first I thought I was watching a documentary about Iain Duncan Smith's benefit reforms.
After announcing that young people will be forced to work 30 hours in the community or lose their benefits, surely the next step must be a programme of workhouse building!
