SIR – It was good to see George Galloway accepting his resounding defeat in last week’s election with such good grace; he has typically protested at the result simply because it did not go as he and his cohorts wanted.
Perhaps a better time to question results would have been at his last election.
After all, Bradford leads the country in “suspicious voting patterns”.
We can only wish the old chancer more luck in running for the London mayor’s position, assuming he can find enough people to vote for him again.
At least he has no need to profess to care for Bradford anymore and can carry on in his old self-aggrandising way.
Ought we to salute his indefatigability – or just be grateful he has departed?
