SIR - Can I congratulate Bradford Council for the resurfacing of many roads around the city recently.
It will help preserve a lot of trees, lampposts and maybe a life or two by helping cut stopping distances with our boyracer culture.
However, we have suffered eight months of misery around Thornbury/Pudsey/Rodley road works, the main routes between Leeds and Bradford.
These are nearly finished now, so why not wait a week or two? Harrogate Road, Dick Lane, Leeds Road are the alternative routes around these road works, so why block them at the same time?
Well done Bradford’s lack of planning committee!
