SIR – At this delicate time in our country’s recovery from the excesses of the previous Labour administration, we simply cannot afford to hand control back to proven failures That previous government was happy, through Ed Miliband, to increase energy charges for crippling green taxes.

Then there was Andy Burnham, in charge of the NHS during the major problems at Mid Staffordshire Hospital.

Add to that Ed Balls, alongside Gordon Brown as financial oblivion approached.

And how about Yvette Cooper, currently berating Theresa May about immigration, but who was part of the government that allowed the mass immigration that has changed the demographics of many of our towns and cities for ever.

We need another Conservative government simply because we cannot trust the Labour.
