SIR – I have been trying to set up a Green Dog Walkers Scheme at Northcliffe Park in Shipley but after several telephone calls to the Shipley Council Office, and being passed from pillar to post, with promises that somebody involved in the scheme will contact me I have still heard nothing!

Initial contact was within a few days after I contacted my local councillor Kevin Warnes asking for help.

I have a number of people, including non dog walkers, interested in joining the scheme but can’t get it off the ground due to the inaction of the council.

Despite your article in Thursday, March 26, paper the council seems slow to help.
