SIR – The T&A tells us (March 28) that Bradford Council will use a £49 million Lottery grant to develop an integrated “early years pathway” for babies and young children in Bowling and Barkerend, Bradford Moor and Little Horton.

This is a huge amount of money, and one therefore has to ask why these funds could not have been spread out to other deprived areas of our city?

Holme Wood, Ravenscliffe and Windhill, to name but three, come to mind.

Surely with so much available these moneys should be used to benefit a much wider area?
