SIR – With regard to the article, City named one of worst crash areas, not surprising is it?
Here is an idea, get a police presence at the traffic lights at the junction of Killinghall Road and Barkerend Road.
I guarantee that within one hour you will see 20 people using a mobile phone.
Just before school start time at Killinghall primary school, Killinghall Road you will see cars illegally parked on pavements on road junctions etc.
Quite often if you drive at a legal 30mph on Killinghall Road you will be overtaken at great speed by motor cyclists wearing no helmets or by large expensive cars driven by people in their 20s.
At other times, further down Killinghall Road near a place of worship, there are cars illegally parked all over the place.
Can I now park on the pavement or grass verge outside my house? Or will I be prosecuted by the police?
It seems to me the police take very little action in certain areas of Bradford in case of causing offence.
Let’s have a no tolerance policy for a month to see how it works.
I’m pretty sure the good law abiding citizens of Bradford won’t mind.
