SIR – More jobs created in Yorkshire than in the whole of France. Record employment, over 1,000 jobs created every day, and the lowest number of people claiming unemployment benefits since the 1970s (28 per cent down in Bradford).
In answer to the accusation that these are not real jobs I would point out that 80 per cent of the jobs are full time and 80 per cent are skilled, with more women in work than ever before.
If people wish to follow the Labour view of economics they just need to look at our neighbours across the Channel to see what will result.
The OBR has confirmed the British economy is growing three times faster than the eurozone and seven times faster than France. Britain is now on the right track and must not turn back, there is still more to do but we need to be able to keep to our long-term economic plan and finish the job.
