SIR - I’m a little confused, so can you confirm that the Philip Davies who criticises Ed Miliband for lack of attendance in his constituency in your article of February 27 is the same one whose letter was published in your newspaper on the 29th January 29.

The reason I ask is that the latter was stating therein that he was not going to engage in any negative campaigning and if they are the same person he appears to have gone back on his word, within a month.
