SIR – As everyone can see, the Tory party is petrified of letting David Cameron loose in an open televised debate.
He`s fine when he is answering pre-scripted questions, surrounded by his sidekicks in parliament and even then he tends to lose his cool when openly criticised.
In the televised debates he would have to stand alone and would be open to ridicule when spouting obviously false statistics and bare faced lies.
I am sure that his top advisors will go to any lengths to avoid these debates and it will be interesting to hear the next excuse now that the Greens have been invited (at his insistence) in a brilliant move by the broadcasters to call his bluff.
I relish watching this privileged, self-serving excuse for a politician coming completely unstitched in front of an audience of millions when asked to answer questions without a set of pre prepared notes to fall back on.
Come on Dave... be a sport and give us all a glimpse of the real Mr Cameron AND throw away any chance of being elected at the same time!
