SIR - I am very pleased that the broadcasters will now include the Green Party in the forthcoming election debates. The Greens are fully entitled to a podium, with more members than UKIP and the Liberal Democrats and having finished ahead of the Lib Dems in the recent European elections.
Our Green parliamentary candidates across Bradford, including myself, have already been invited to several hustings events in April, and we will be there to debate the major challenges facing our district in these elections. For the first time ever, every Bradford resident will have the chance to vote Green.
I would encourage as many members of the public to attend as possible, to meet the candidates and find out directly about the progressive politics that the Greens offer as an alternative to the politics of austerity. There is no substitute for face-to-face conversations about our shared future.
Cllr Kevin Warnes, Green Party Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Shipley, Moorhead Terrace, Shipley
