SIR - I would like to congratulate Bradford Council for flying the tricolour and showing respect for the people who died in the Paris shootings. This was a nice change as Bradford Council doesn’t normally have good judgment with regard to flag flying.
It was also great to see many news agencies around the world come out in solidarity with the French people and published the same cartoons to show that they stand against extremism and stand up for our precious freedom of speech.
Many newspapers including some from France and Germany stood against this attack on our freedoms while the English media cowered in the corner and refused to stand with our European friends and also publish the cartoon.
How has Britain, the world’s proudest nation and international leader on the issues of liberty reduced itself to this? What a sad state of affairs that we bow to extremists because our establishment has been brainwashed by ‘political correctness’.
