SIR - West Yorkshire Trading Standards has, quite rightly, requested that East Euro Food Centre in Girlington be stripped of its alcohol licence (T&A, January 16) after continued allegations about its sale of illegal cigarettes and alcohol, not to mention sales to under-age children.
If ever there was a case for a licence to be removed, then here it is. It will therefore be hugely interesting to see whether the Council’s Licensing Panel agree to this removal.
Surely, if they have the welfare of the citizens of Bradford at heart, then the licence will be removed forthwith. This needs to be done to lay down a marker for other possible transgressors.
