SIR – I have had sight of a leaflet the Green Party isare handing out. This claims that their policies to improve rail transport include a commitment to build new stations at Low Moor and Apperley Bridge.
It may come as a surprise to them, but through the hard work of Labour’s executive member for transport, Councillor Val Slater, and her team, these stations are already on the way.
Indeed, work has started on the construction of Apperley Bridge station.
On the other hand, they may already know this but be claiming credit for something the Labour group has achieved.
