SIR – Not many people are aware that the renowned stained glass artist Margaret Agnes Rope designed the windows in Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Heckmondwike.
She was a friend of father John O’Connor, the Father Brown of GK Chesterton’s detective stories, and the windows feature in the centenary book A Century of Change – A History of St Patrick’s and Holy Spirit, Heckmondwike.
