SIR – Thank you for your article (T&A, May 29) about the far-reaching and important survey by Baildon Friends of the Earth about a bus to Baildon station to reduce traffic congestion and CO2 levels.
There was one import error in it, however. I said that the concentration of CO2 had now reached 400 parts per million (ppm), not 200.
The last time we reached 400 ppm was 800,000 years ago; that was when the global sea level was 20m higher than today.
