SIR – I read with dismay about the further drop in visitors to the Media Museum (T&A, May 22) It was interesting to note much of this fall was in museum cinema attendances.
Last August, I wrote to this very letters page saying that the museum needed to put much more prominent advertising on the outside to show people passing that the three cinemas are there and to therefore actually advertise itself.
They could perhaps put a large read-o-graph with some illumination on the outside facing Princes Way – a bit like what was on the former odeon to advertise films. That would make people take notice.
If they had done something like this last year after I suggested it, the visitor numbers might have been a bit better. Will they consider it now?
