SIR – Good old John Hall! (T&A, May 17) Clearly, the more things change, the more they remain the same.

For four long years, John has continued to insult the intelligence of the people of Bradford with his endless refrain ‘everything is the fault of the last Labour government’.

He continues to blame not the banks, but Labour for the global financial crisis and then goes on to suggest that his erstwhile bosom buddies the Tories cannot be trusted either! It seems that Lib Dem treachery knows no bounds.

Am I mistaken, or was it the Lib Dems that spat in the eye of their voters and hopped gleefully into bed with the Tories in a coalition government?

Was it the same Lib Dems that over the past four years have nodded through every single piece of right-wing, divisive legislation the Tories put in front of them? It seems clear, therefore, that all the financial problems faced by the people of the UK and Bradford in particular, are directly as a result of the Tory and Lib Dem coalition.

Who on earth would ever trust the Lib Dems again, with anything?
