Sensible approach
SIR – Re the UKIP candidate’s letter ‘Clegg is out of touch’ (T&A, May 15). How “in touch” and sensible is she!
I’ve carried knives of various descriptions most of my teens and adult life, some 40 to 45 years. Does carrying these tools make me a criminal or potential murderer?
Okay, I haven’t carried fixed or locked-blade knives and generally less than four to five inches, but still potentially harmful and enough for UKIP to get me locked up!
Let’s have a sensible debate. Using a scatter-gun approach will hurt the innocent, too – potentially seriously.
