SIR – Recently, I received a letter from Bradford Council, addressed to me personally, advising that planning permission had been granted for the new railway station at Low Moor.
In the same post was a letter, addressed to my wife Joyce, telling her the same thing.
If I assume this has been done to every household in the district, how much has it cost in postage and how much has been wasted on envelopes and paper?
We are told repeatedly by the Council that cuts are inevitable, yet they appear to be able to waste money on unnecessary letters.
Perhaps the unknown and unnamed spokesperson from the Council could enlighten me.
