SIR – In regards to your report on park trees at Cliffe Castle.
I think it would be vandalism to remove such beautiful trees. One of the main reasons I visit Cliffe Castle is to see the trees in different seasons. They are a sight to behold. The tulip tree is amazing, with stunning flowers. It is the only tree of its type I have seen anywhere.
It is the responsibility of the park management to maintain and look after the trees, not to destroy them.
