SIR – Election placards are now starting to appear across our area, and it is no different here in Baildon.

However, it is noticeable that some of the Lib Dem posters hereabouts proclaim “Liberal Democrats winning here”.

Now how presumptuous is that? The electorate will decide who is the most suitable candidate for Baildon, rather than being told by the Lib Dems that it is they who will win. Perhaps this could come back to bite them?
