SIR – The T&A recently ran an article about Catherine Riley achieving 20 years’ service as the manager of the Kirkgate Centre (May 1), and although Catherine was very modest about her work ethic in Bradford (and indeed sharing any success with her team of long-serving staff members) I think we should all recognise the commitment Catherine has given to the core values of retailing in Bradford as an ever constant in promoting ideas and initiatives for the benefit of us all.
The last few years have been some of the most challenging we can remember for businesses – but led by Catherine, the Kirkgate Centre has been the city’s lynchpin, consistently drawing shoppers into the town centre via their evolving mix of large and small retail businesses.
Thank you, Catherine, for your ongoing commitment to do your best for Bradford – we are very proud to count you as one of our long standing business partners – and long may that continue.
