SIR – Despite the example of fewer deaths the faster the Danes drive, quoted by Godfrey Bloom (Letters, March 25), the general evidence world-wide is just the opposite. However, there’s no question that the higher the speed the more CO2 is produced, and while UKIP don’t accept that is a problem, the international science community does. A reduction in speed limits is in all our interests.
