SIR – Just missed out on a place in the BUPA Great North Run ballot?
Heart Research UK is a Yorkshire-based national charity that funds pioneering research into heart disease as well as encouraging people to live a heart-healthy lifestyle.
We have some guaranteed places still available, so for those who still want to compete in the world’s biggest half marathon why not run for us?
The Great North Run is on Sunday, September 7, the entry fee is £50 and we ask runners to commit to raising a minimum of £350. Or if you were lucky enough to get a ballot place, you can still join our team.
Heart Research UK will support you along the way with plenty of fundraising ideas and tools such as balloons and posters, T-shirts, handy hints and tips and even meet you at the finishing line.
Heart Disease is still the biggest killer in the UK – many cases are potentially preventable.
If you want to do the BUPA Great North Run for us, you can apply online by completing the application form on our website at heartresearch.org.uk/events/gnr.
