SIR – Through your letters column can I draw the attention of your readers to an event that a few of us are running in Baildon, Shipley, on February 20?
Responding to public interest, we have organised an open discussion of Inequality – Its Social And Economic Consequences.
The discussion will take place at the Baildon Community Link, 35 Cliffe Avenue, Baildon BD17 6NX. Doors open at 7.15pm and admission is free. All are welcome.
A panel of seven residents, between them with a wide range of experience, will each make a short presentation. The meeting will then be opened up to a “free for all” discussion and all are welcome to have their say.
In recent months, concern about growing inequality in the UK has risen up the public agenda – hence the suggestion for this meeting.
Anyone requiring more details is welcome to phone me on (01274) 592989.
John Cole, Oakroyd Terrace, Baildon
