SIR – I just cannot believe that Paul Flowers is still being housed and paid by the Methodist Church while many Methodists are working their socks off to keep their churches, with ever-decreasing congregations, open.
I am a member of two Methodist churches, one in Bradford and another in South Craven, and both are having to conduct services by members of their own churches. One of them cannot even afford a minister.
Get rid of this dreadful man who appears all too often in the press looking more than a little smug. Who wouldn’t if they still had all the perks and were still being paid a salary?
The Methodist authorities who are still treating him to all these deserve the sack too. Never mind hiding behind ‘regulations’ made before this man was found out. Get rid of them too.
Mrs Catherine R Thomas, Grovelands, Bradford
