SIR – Out of the many 2010 Manifesto promises reneged on by Tory and Lib-Dem parties alike, two of the worst ones must be to reform the House of Lords, and reduce the cost of politics in general.
For not only has the House of Lords not been reformed, but every party leader continues to stuff its red benches with cronies and donors for all they are worth, with membership now around 900!
This has increased the cost to £42 million since 2010, with no end in sight as numerous other nominations for when Parliament is dissolved in 2015 are under consideration.
With all the other broken promises, you have to wonder why anybody bothers to vote at all. I certainly will never vote again.
