SIR – It is good news that Low Moor station is to be built, but they didn’t say when.
One thing that bugs me is the problems with the curved track, and not being able to build a curved platform safely round it. What is it about today’s technology?
The Victorians built curved platforms. Take York station, for instance, the whole station is on a curve and there are many others still in use. This curve at Low Moor is not as severe as some.
Get the station built then we’ll start a campaign to have another station built at Wyke, and a campaign to reopen the Spen Valley line, even if it’s only a single track. Then maybe we will curb the traffic problems in south Bradford as this will never be cured until public transport is improved.
As for Low Moor station being built, will they come up with another excuse and add another year on?
