SIR – In your article on the Crossley Evans site (T&A, December 13), the expert planners and consultants – and I use these words with no confident accuracy – ignore all protests and green issues.
The long-standing existing rate payers and employers will build a green plant costing many millions of pounds that is of guaranteed benefit to Shipley.
What will a new supermarket guarantee, especially if it is promised by Sainsbury’s?
I, for one, have no confidence in the so- called experts, and if the site is an eye-sore, it is better hidden than the bit in front of the Shipley bowling alley and the expensive manmade one in the city.
