SIR – I’m on a fixed deal with EDF and have been told I won’t be eligible for the bill reduction announced by George Osborne.
However, we have all had about £50 added to our bills for several years to pay for the ECO insulation scheme – which will have been factored into fixed-term deals – so everyone should get the £50 deduction.
Don’t not let the energy companies fob you off – most have done only a fraction of the ECO work we’ve been charged for, anyway, so George Osborne has given them another two years to do it.
They’re getting away with plenty under this Government – who’s for a proper review, as proposed by Ed Miliband?
