SIR – As a bus driver on permanent late duties one colleague once referred jokily to this pattern of work as the ‘vampire’ rota!
At Christmas time, however, it has an advantage – enjoying the wonderful lighting that adorn many domestic dwellings around our city. In fact, some wouldn’t look out of place on the Knebworth stage for Led Zeppelin way back when!
But one unmistakable sign of Christmas stands out among all the neon – on the 681/2 route, Halifax Road, Shelf – displayed on the wall of St Michael and All Angels Church. One of my passengers told me the image is extracted from a staied glass window within the church.
I think it looks fantastic and no more words are necessary...
