SIR – Thank you, Emma Clayton, for reviewing the Sarah Millican gig at St George’s Hall.
The show coincided with our wedding anniversary – I thought it hilarious in booking the tickets we would be seeing someone who uses ‘her divorce’ for much of her comedic material!
The clerk cautioned the only seats available were ‘restricted view’, to which I quipped that would not be unusual for us as with four kids we never go anywhere anyway!
I agree with Emma that Sarah’s live language is rather saucy but the set more than compensates with it’s light and shade and pin sharp comment on life’s ups and downs.
Sarah Millican is the perfect illustration that laughter is the ideal tonic, no matter what life throws at you.
Thank you, St George’s Hall, for booking this calibre of performer for the city. Also to the Telegraph & Argus for confirming Sarah did include Bradford as part of her Tour.
John Murphy, Cooper Lane, Bradford
