SIR – December is so important to so many people, particularly to the young because it brings with it the eager anticipation of Christmas and the question: ‘what would you like for Christmas?’ Without doubt it is of great religious significance to millions.
On Saturday, the ninth annual Clayton Dickensian Market will take place. Over the years it has gone from strength to strength. It is a time to soak up the atmosphere and indeed the excitement of it all.
If you have attended previously, you will no doubt be back, but if you have not then make sure you go this year. It is something you will not regret. Credit must go to the hardworking market committee who go the extra mile to ensure its continued success.
The market opens at 11am with something for everybody. The younger visitors have not been forgotten with fairground rides, a climbing wall and even a miniature pony and carriage.
There really is something for everybody, so why don’t you treat yourself or the ones you love and make every effort to be there?
