SIR – Within the last three weeks I have travelled with P&O Ferries, spent time in Birmingham City Hall and, somewhat unusually for me, quite a lot of time in Sainsbury’s. But not only that, I have been in Downton Abbey and experienced the delights of Blackpool.
Firstly, I was with Gareth Malone on his latest series The Choir Sing While You Work! Gareth will be long remembered for his choir programmes spread over a number of years, perhaps the most notable being The Military Wives.
Secondly, I, like millions of viewers, enjoyed the recently-completed series of Downton Abbey, and thirdly, I, and about ten million viewers, enjoyed the Blackpool outing with Strictly Come Dancing.
Your readers will have already guessed that all my travels and experiences were enjoyed in front of our television.
Referring to Strictly, there was much to delight both eye and ear with colour, costume, music, singing and of course dancing, each being of the highest quality. Gareth Malone and the choirs continue to delight, and viewers now know there will be a further series of Downton Abbey.
Each of the mentioned programmes brought pleasure to millions of viewers, and as Craig Revel Horwood would say, they were fabulous.
