SIR – So Bradford West MP George Galloway thinks his job in politics is tedious? Perhaps if he pulled his finger out, and started working for the residents of West Bradford, he might actually find it quite rewarding.
I wrote twice to Mr Galloway at the Houses of Parliament about the disgraceful state of four empty shops at Four Lane Ends, Thornton Road, to see if he could try and get Bradford Council to do something about them. He didn’t even have the courtesy to reply to my letters. I also rang his constituency office – no reply – nothing!
How on earth did this man get elected?
Well, we actually know – on hollow promises. For crying out loud, all you budding MPs of the future, don’t take it for granted that you will be elected. You have seen what happens if you do.
Mr Galloway also says he probably wont be standing at the next election, because he knows darn well, he wouldn’t sweet talk the electorate this time round.
