SIR – With regard to the Council’s proposal to cut over-generous car payments.
It is presumed that the Council’s policy is consistent and that they will be seeking to make reductions in the car-related allowances paid to the chief executive and those other highly-paid employees, who, unlike of the leader of the Council, do not deign to use public transport.
Perhaps Councillor Glen Miller can investigate and report back to us.
