SIR – Jason Smith’s claim that UKIP supports tax cuts for all (Letters, May 16) means that hard-working people get crumbs while the idle rich get the cream. UKIP’s policy also means that there would be less money available to spend on vital services such as education and the NHS.
UKIP opposes windfarms but supports nuclear power which is both expensive and dangerous. Jason Smith’s letter is very selective in its response to my question in the T&A of May 13.
So we can take it that UKIP supports the American Government’s massive influence on the UK and that having American bases on our beautiful countryside?
Far from missing the point as Mr Smith’s letter suggests, I scored a bull’s eye!
