SIR – Referring to the lady who wrote about the Waxwings, I live in Windhill and about three weeks ago we had a flock of about 50 of them flying onto a telegraph pole at the end of our drive.
A neighbour has a large berry-growing bush and after they had finished there, they would fly onto this pole and surrounding wires.
We had them for about two days, they are beautiful birds but what a mess they made of our drive and car!
Mrs C Grange, Glenfield, Windhill, Shipley
