SIR – The heaps of praise and gratitude that have been lavished upon the late Mrs Thatcher, if I may, are from the moneybag politicians.

As well as her own Tory clan, there are world leaders who have not the slightest idea what went on in this country under her leadership, and millionaire celebrities who don’t even live in this country.

It is the upper echelon mourning one of their own. I doubt very much that any one of these rich politicians, celebrities or otherwise will give one thought to the miners, the steel workers, the shop-builders and people who had real jobs who Mrs Thatcher threw to the wall when they attended her funeral.

I am sorry to say there is one law for the rich and one law for the poor – Mrs Thatcher’s death clearly demonstrates that.
