SIR – Through your letters page may I say thank you to the lady from the Yorkshire Building Society on Bank Street, I believe her name was Carol.

I had a fall outside there. She was so kind, bringing me a cup of sweet tea, and looking after me. Also, a lady and gentleman nearby asked if they could have one, telling her they took two sugars. She brought them one also, such kindness during her working hours.
