SIR - I refer to the Business View article concerning the 40th anniversary of Emerald Group and their relocation to Dowley Gap, Bingley (T&A, November 6).
The idea of remaining in Bradford was very important to those in charge; It was important for us to continue in Bradford and remain in the city; It is a nice place, just on the edge of the canal, they said.
Quite! Also several miles outside of Bradford, or are Bingley, Baildon and Saltaire now part of the city?
This is all part of an exodus of businesses from the inner city postcodes to the outlying more pleasant areas.
It is disingenuous to pretend businesses such as Emerald, Slingsbys, etc, are staying in Bradford then they are actually moving out.
