SIR - Having read the Court File (T&A, November 3), I noticed some charges involved fishing with out a licence.
All received financial penalties, the highest being £290.
While I agree fishing without a licence should be punished, I was stunned to see in the same Court File that a number of individuals received financial penalties in the region of £150 for failure to have 1) a car licence 2) an MOT and 3) insurance.
What is the judicial system coming to when a potential killer as an unsafe car and its driver receive far less financial penalties than someone illegally fishing?
Please, let's hope commonsense will prevail.
