SIR – The plans for a Wickes store and a KFC outlet at the already very busy junction of Baildon Road and Otley Road in Baildon, recently withdrawn, have now been re-submitted.
However, it will be recalled that the previous withdrawal had the effect of cancelling all the earlier objections that had been lodged.
Those wishing to object again to this proposed development, especially on the grounds that it will make the already horrendous traffic problems even worse, need to lodge that objection by January 28, quoting Application Number 12/05127/FUL.
One wonders whether the developers were hoping that, by withdrawing the previous application, people would not bother to object again, or else not realise that they must do so?
Indeed, I have been unable to ascertain from the plans on the Council website just what has changed. Nothing at all significant it would seem, making the negating of the earlier objections all the more unacceptable.
