SIR – The NHS is very important to the people of this country. I believe the current ‘reorganisation’ is a waste of money. The money would be better spent on improving services so that all effective medicines can be available on the NHS so we don’t have distressing situations in which people in need of drugs are denied them because of price.
Clinical Commissioning Groups should protect the NHS by adopting amendments to their constitutions as set out by the 38 Degrees organisation. There are large 38 Degrees petitions showing local people want their NHS protected.
Many of us are campaigning to protect the NHS from privatisation as we believe this will, eventually, lead to a worse service.
I don’t know anyone who doesn’t value the NHS. Please help us fight privatisation.
