SIR – In the letters page on (T&A, January 4), you published two letters taking swipes at Councillor Glen Miller, accusing him of seeking political gain from the lack of waste collections over the Christmas period.
They both stated that all Bradford residents had stickers and letters to tell them of the arrangements. Wrong! Here in Bradford 9 the rubbish has accumulated and with residents putting out their bins and bags hoping a collection would take place, the streets are now well littered.
Absolutely no tags and no letters were given out here and even on the Council website, two different dates have been given for collections.
Our last collection was on December 18 and while I agree everyone is entitled to a holiday, the Council has not handled this matter very well. We were told to expect collections on January 6, closely followed by another on January 8, according to the website.
It would be helpful if your correspondents got their facts right, before trying to score cheap political points against an elected member.
